Reported costs are estimates. Issue dates show when the city issued a permit, not when work becomes available.
Repairs and small jobs filed through the city’s online Express Permit Program, such as reroofing, porch repair, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, window and door replacement and small solar systems. It replaced the paper Easy Permit Process in November 2023.

Needed to put up a sign on land, a building or a business.
Installing or repairing an elevator, escalator or similar equipment.
Needed to demolish a building or most of it, or to permanently reduce its size.
Permit types come from city records. Explanations are based on the City of Chicago Department of Buildings permit pages.

They are real permits the city issued, which show planned work. A permit doesn’t guarantee an open job, buying intent or an available contact; use it to research the project. Trade tags are inferred from source information. Review the original record, project scope and any listed contact’s role before acting.
You get the listed contractor from the city record, plus Find their phone: one tap searches for that business’s phone number. Chicago Permit-Leads shows project addresses, scope and published business names and roles when available. It does not include homeowner phone numbers or emails or a verified contact list. Use the original source to research public contact details and confirm the right person to speak with.
Records come from the City of Chicago public building-permit dataset. Open a project’s source link and check Data & coverage for import status and dates. City publication can lag, imported coverage is incomplete, and a recent refresh does not mean a permit was newly issued.
Look for related work, research the listed business for a subcontracting conversation, or export project addresses to plan letters and postcards. You handle the outreach. Confirm that work is available and verify the owner’s mailing address before sending anything.
Yes. Keep bookmarks, notes, lead status and follow-ups in My leads, or export a filtered list as CSV. Personal and team workspaces are separate. Team access includes shared workspaces with owner, editor and viewer permissions for up to five users, including the owner.
