Get started in three steps

1. Open your dashboard and choose Edit preferences.
2. Select your trade or trades and an optional Chicago area. Save your preferences.
3. Open a matching project, check its scope and original source, then bookmark anything worth following up.

The For you tab uses your saved preferences. Browse all lets you browse every trade in Chicago.

Find and understand projects

Use area, trade and date filters to narrow your list. More options includes additional filters, map view, and exports.

To review shows matching records you have not opened. It can include older permits. Hidden records can be restored through the review filter under More options → More filters.

Permit records do not guarantee an available job. Trade tags are inferred, costs are reported figures, and published business names are not verified contact lists. Always check the original source.

Keep your next steps together

Bookmark a project or open its Your follow-up section to save a note, status, next action or due date. Find tracked projects in My leads.

Team workspaces share lead information with members; your personal workspace is separate. Hiding a match does not delete its notes or follow-up.

Pilot feedback and usage

During the pilot, Chicago Permit-Leads counts which features you use each day (for example, opening a permit or saving a lead) to see what helps. These counts and any feedback you send are linked to your account. It does not record what you search for, your notes, or which permits you look at. Use the Feedback button on your dashboard to tell us what to improve; only the Chicago Permit-Leads team sees it.

Manage your permit emails

Open Email preferences to preview the email, choose how often you get it, or switch it off. The workspace owner controls the shared email.

Choose Daily for a morning email after the city data updates, or Weekly for Monday mornings. To stop emails, uncheck “Email me new matching permits” and save, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. Starter and Pro follow the owner’s saved dashboard trades.

Each email lists up to 100 new matching permits you haven’t been emailed about yet. Delivery needs a configured email service and your opt-in; check its status before expecting an email.

Understand plans and access

Plan & billing shows current access and lets the account owner request Starter, Pro or Team. A request does not activate an upgrade or charge you.

Every plan includes available project details, maps, CSV, bookmarks and personal follow-ups. Personalized-trade limits depend on the plan. Team includes up to five people, including the owner; pending invitations reserve seats.

Use Account → Sign out when you are finished on a shared device. Signing out does not delete your saved leads.
